Job Title: Customer Support Technician (Entry Level)
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Duration: 2 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Customer Support Technician to provide desktop support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and technical assistance for end users in a fast-paced IT environment. This role involves supporting workstation hardware, Microsoft Office 365, Windows operating systems, audio-visual systems, and network connectivity while delivering excellent customer service.

Candidates should be comfortable traveling between client locations, supporting end users onsite, and working collaboratively with IT teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop and end-user technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Monitor and resolve assigned service tickets in a timely manner
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical procedures
  • Install and support audio-visual and video conferencing equipment
  • Perform basic network and telephony troubleshooting
  • Support remote troubleshooting efforts by technical teams
  • Assist with software installation, configuration, and updates
  • Participate in equipment inventory management and surplus activities
  • Travel to remote sites to deploy and support IT resources
  • Participate in team meetings, projects, and departmental initiatives
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in:
    • Desktop support
    • Workstation hardware installation and maintenance
    • Technical support in Windows environments
  • Experience supporting:
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Windows 10 or newer operating systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree with coursework in Information Technology
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications
  • Experience with:
    • Audio-visual systems
    • Video conferencing technologies
    • Basic networking concepts
    • Mobile device support
