Job description

Postdoctoral Position in CRISPR-Based Genome Editing and Neurodegenerative Disorders A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Miroslaw Janowski at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. This 2-year project, funded by the Maryland Stem Cell Research Foundation, focuses on augmenting the function of glial progenitors and is at the intersection of CRISPR-based genome editing, stem cells, and neurodegenerative disorders. *Qualifications:*The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CRISPR-based genome editing and molecular biology, demonstrated by first authorship in a peer-reviewed publication. While expertise in nucleic acid sequencing, biostatistics, cell culture, and animal handling is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Opportunities:You will join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team that offers strong mentoring, access to an international network, and outstanding career growth opportunities. The laboratory operates in a new, state-of-the-art HSF III building hosting many interdisciplinary research teams, including the Institute of Genome Sciences. The salary will be aligned with NIH and UMB pay scales.
