What is an entry level creative writer?

Entry level creative writers are individuals who are starting their careers in writing and focus on producing original works such as stories, articles, blog posts, or marketing content. They usually work under the guidance of more experienced writers or editors and are responsible for brainstorming ideas, drafting content, and revising their work based on feedback. Entry level creative writers often work for publishing houses, advertising agencies, media companies, or as freelancers. Their main goal is to develop their writing skills, build a portfolio, and gain experience in the creative writing field.

What does an entry level creative writer do?

As an entry-level creative writer, your job is to write fiction and nonfiction for publishing in a variety of mediums. This could include writing novels, articles, and screenplays or creating written marketing material for employers. Your responsibilities revolve around finding the best way to convey a story or idea to a particular audience. For example, if you're helping to create a website for a new automobile dealership, you may look for ways to turn the owner's life into a compelling story that appeals to their customer demographic. As an entry-level creative writer, most of your work comes in the form of assignments from an editor or client, but there are opportunities to freelance, whether as a novelist or journalist.
