Job description

Taoti Creative is looking for a Marketing Project Manager (Advertising & Campaigns) support marketing and advertising projects.

(Sorry in advance for the long read. But this is your career we're talking about here! It's worth the extra detail, right? The right fit is critical for both of our sakes, so please forgive us in advance for the verbosity. BTW, we promise these are read by real people. No AI here. We'd appreciate if you'd return the favor.)

Now, about the job (and a bit about you)...

Taoti Creative is looking for a highly organized Marketing Project Manager to support the execution of marketing and advertising campaigns. This role is ideal for someone with a few years' experience who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and enjoys bringing structure and momentum to marketing work. You will work closely with designers, strategists, and account leads to keep campaign assets moving from concept to launch. From coordinating creative production to managing schedules and vendors, you will help ensure projects stay organized, on time, and ready for delivery. This role focuses on keeping work moving efficiently through the system, ensuring that creative teams have what they need and that deadlines are consistently met.

This isn't a passive role. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, ready to jump in, and excited to be part of fast-moving client work. You don't need to have seen it all before, but you should be curious, proactive, and willing to figure things out as you go. Someone who can help turn "impossible" requests into thoughtful solutions, or raise a hand when something doesn't quite make sense. Someone who's starting to build confidence in their perspective, open to feedback and new ideas, and developing the judgment to know when to push, when to ask questions, and when to listen.

What You'll Do...

Project Coordination

  • Create and manage projects, milestones, and tasks to keep work organized and moving forward
  • Maintain clear production schedules and ensure deadlines are realistic and visible to the team
  • Monitor project progress and proactively flag risks, delays, or resource conflicts
  • Ensure deliverables are tracked, documented, and completed on schedule

Creative Production Management

  • Coordinate with designers and creative leads to move marketing and advertising assets from concept through production
  • Help manage asset pipelines including digital ads, social graphics, email assets, and other campaign materials
  • Track revisions, approvals, and final deliverables to ensure assets are delivered accurately and on time

Task & Workflow Management

  • Break larger campaign efforts into structured tasks that keep work moving efficiently across the team
  • Ensure team members have clear priorities, timelines, and expectations
  • Maintain project documentation and keep workstreams organized within Teamwork

Client Communication

  • Directly communicate with clients about project progress and delivery, including advocating for the agency's creative work.
  • Participate in client meetings to represent Taoti, as needed.
  • Lead intake conversations for new projects and facilitate creative concept presentations.

Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Assist with managing external vendors involved in campaign production or marketing execution
  • Help coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication between internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure vendor work is integrated smoothly into the overall project timeline

Communication & Team Support

  • Keep designers, account leads, and other team members aligned on timelines and deliverables
  • Help organize project updates, internal check-ins, and status tracking
  • Ensure feedback, approvals, and changes are communicated clearly across the team

Organization & Attention to Detail

  • Maintain clean project structure, documentation, and file organization
  • Ensure creative assets, deliverables, and project materials are easy for the team to locate and reference
  • Help maintain consistency and clarity across multiple projects running at the same time

What You Bring...

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or creative project management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Comfort working with designers, strategists, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Digital marketing deliverables such as social media assets, display ads, email campaigns, or landing pages

Bonus points for experience with:

  • Creative or marketing campaign production
  • Managing animation or video projects

Why Taoti?

Here's the thing about working at Taoti: We're theGoldilocks of creative agencies.Big enough to do national, high-profile work. Small enough that you're never just a cog in a machine. We have the clout to land top-tier clients, but the flexibility to let you carve your own path.

That means your career growth here is driven by you-your initiative, your curiosity, and the impact you make. We don't do rigid hierarchies and we don't expect you to wait years in line for opportunities. If you want to grow, experiment, or stretch into new areas, you'll have the space to do it.

Logistics

This is a full-time, W2, "in-house" role based out of our Washington, DC office. A note about what it means to be "in-house" here: the rule of thumb is that most employees in the DC area are in the office 4 days a week (we accrue telework like we do PTO so you can bank it and use it up as you see fit. (Though you can. Some people do!) Certain roles (such as managers or people involved in projects that require more on-site meetings) may be more, and that may change from time to time. Ultimately, our goal is to embrace a hybrid office culture that balances the needs of the agency with the needs of employees.

Is there room for career growth?

That's one of the best parts about this role, specifically at Taoti. In a larger shop, the project management hierarchy is usually large, layered, and not-so-flexible. Or at a smaller shop, you may have lots of flexibility, but not enough of a team to really benefit from true collaboration. Taoti is the Goldilocks of creative agencies. We have enough structure so that you understand what the team looks like and where you fit in. But we're small and agile enough to let employees carve out new roles and niches where it makes sense to do so. Our teams and roles are constantly evolving as the team grows, so if you want to grow into a role that doesn't exist, you can help create it! In other words, we grow the team around what we already have-not according to some org chart or spreadsheet. So career paths are not rigid and finite. We have a history of shaking things up, making rather bold HR moves, and adapting our hiring processes (as well as the roles of our existing employees) in a way that makes strategic sense for the employee and the company. And we've created all sorts of new roles for new hires for positions that didn't exist before, in some cases, creating whole new realms within our team structure. The point is that we're committed to doing whatever makes the most sense and are agile enough to get away with it. So your career trajectory has far more to do with your own aptitude and initiative than it does with an org chart or who's above you.

Tips for getting onto theshort list...

  • Stand out. When you apply, make an impression.
  • Show-don'ttell-us how great you are.
  • We can tell a lot by the documents someone creates. Doesn't matter what it is, but we'd love to see some documents you've put together.
  • Talk to us about your favorite tools.
  • Give us some insight into your general PM philosophies.
  • Tell us why you want to work at Taoti, specifically. And what was wrong with your last gig that makes you want to leave?
  • Show us your passion and energy. We like passion and energy.

What's the corporate culture like?

"Fun but focused," as one Taoti put it, is a great way to sum up our culture. We're a fun and casual shop. The kind of place where you can wear whatever, come and go as you please, and have autonomy over your own day for the most part. But we take the work seriously and believe deep in the mission to makemeaningful and measurableimpacts for our clients. All the perks and shenanigans and borderline irreverent tone are fun, but to really fit in here, you need to beabout the work.

We believe in total transparency and open communication across teams and across ranks. Instead of chain-of-command, we want everyone to have and share their own voice. The CEO holds 'CafeClutch'just so he can hear ideas and feedback directly from the team instead of through the filter of management.

A bit more about Taoti...

Established in 1996, Taoti Creative is a boutique, full-service creative agency located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. We are privately owned and have no corporate overloads (nothing personal, WPP.) We do stuff like web development, social media management, branding, experiential marketing, video, AR/VR, etc. Our mission is to 'move the needle' for our clients. We leverage technology, creativity, and innovation to generate meaningful and measurable results for our clients-that's what drives us. Speaking of clients, they're about 60% non-profits, 20% commercial, and 20% federal government. Some of our customers include World Bank, USAID, DC Water, Discovery Education, American Chemical Society, Jane Goodall Foundation, and dozens of 'National Association of _________,' etc. Our full-time team of about 50 employees is about 65% in-house and 35% remote. We hail from over 15 countries. And for the last four years in a row, we've made the Inc5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the United States. There's of course plenty of additional information on our website. If you've not done so already, be sure to check out our culture video:https://vimeo.com/289302105. If you're qualified and interested, please apply on our website (www.taoti.com/careers.) Please note that these job ads often get placed onto other websites with their own application systems (we're looking at youJooble!)and some sites (looking at you Indeed!) have made up random salary ranges. Also, please know that once the coronavirus stuff dies down, this will be an in-house (most of the time) job. If you don't live in the DC area now but plan to relocate, please make sure you indicate as such somewhere in your application. Otherwise, we're likely to reject because we assume you aren't in our area. Wearen't able torespond to applications that don't come through our own website (Because we use software to manage our hiring process, and without it, it would be the wild west here. So please be sure you're applying on our website.)
