Job Title
Marketing & Communications Project Manager
Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications Project Manager (PM) serves within the Marketing & Communications Office in the Division of Enrollment Management. This role manages creative project intake, develops timelines, coordinates creative services, advertising, and promotional materials, and helps evaluate project effectiveness. The PM keeps internal and external marketing and communications projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with TXWES brand standards. As a brand expert, the PM advises clients on best practices, ensures style and graphic guidelines are followed, and upholds established quality standards. The role also supports the development and implementation of the campus visual branding strategy, including timely updates to campus kiosks, signage, and banners. Candidates must have experience managing multiple print and creative projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management:
  • Trains clients/departments around campus to use the Project Workflow project management software to submit video, photography, web, digital, and print design requests.
  • Works with departments to collect all project information including target audience, conversion, deadlines, finalized copy, etc., then traffic the project through to the creative and digital team.
  • Coordinates production schedules while helping the various departments stay updated on project statuses.
  • Serves as the MarComm representative on designated committees, providing strategic input and identifying committee needs that require MarComm support.
  • Processes job completion through internal review, client review, final deliverable, and assessment of project with client after completion. (Daily, 60% of time)

Print & Promotional Vendor Management:
  • Develops and maintains relationships with print and promotional vendors.
  • Works with vendors to organize the timely production of print campaigns and promotional items. (Daily, 25% of time)

Campus Signage:
  • Responsible for maintaining all branded public spaces.
  • Manages regular checks on campus branding and works with vendors and facilities to repair and update signage. (Weekly, 15% of time)

Support Marketing & Communications Projects:
  • Support the marketing and communications team projects such as website updates, creative brainstorms, survey creations, copywriting, etc.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. (As needed)

Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Knowledge of basic creative services including graphic design, social media and copyrighting is preferred.

Experience
  • Experience managing production schedules in a creative office or production environment.
  • Knowledge of customer services best practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of print production process and experience sourcing promotional material.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to set, maintain, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high attention for details.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects quickly/efficiently.
  • Heavily oriented toward details/accuracy.
  • Positive, motivated attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive approach under pressure.
