Entry-Level Purchasing Specialist

Location: Bluffton, Ohio – On-site
Employment Type: Full-time | Direct Hire

About the Role

We are seeking an Entry-Level Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing and supplier coordination activities within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.


This is a strong opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain, supplier management, and manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support cost analysis and tracking for assigned materials and components.
  • Assist with procurement activities including RFQs, bid coordination, supplier comparisons, and purchase order execution.
  • Maintain purchasing and material data within ERP and inventory systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, logistics, finance, and global purchasing teams.
  • Communicate with domestic and international suppliers regarding cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
  • Track supplier performance metrics.
  • Review engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), and part lists.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with logistics, delivery, and invoice discrepancy resolution.
  • Support project-related and global purchasing activities.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience or relevant exposure in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or automotive environments.
