Clearing Services Analyst – Entry Level (Derivatives Trade Support)

📍 Baltimore, MD | 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree Required | 🌱 New Graduates Welcome

Role Overview

This entry-level Clearing Services Analyst role provides hands-on exposure to global derivatives markets and the opportunity to work directly with futures and options traded on major exchanges. The position is ideal for recent graduates seeking to begin a career in financial services, operations, or capital markets.

You will join the Baltimore Trade Support Group within the Derivatives Clearing department, supporting daily trade processing activities and learning how financial markets operate in a real-time, risk-controlled environment. Full training will be provided.

What You’ll Learn & Do

  • Support daily trade processing for futures and options on futures across North American and European markets
  • Assist in resolving trade and position breaks by working with internal teams and external partners
  • Help manage trade allocations for Institutional and Wealth Management clients
  • Investigate same-day clearing exceptions with guidance from senior team members
  • Support exchange trade entry and trade flow processes
  • Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and clients regarding trade-related inquiries
  • Learn risk management principles and operational controls used in derivatives clearing
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
  • Build strong foundational knowledge of derivatives products and clearing operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
