Position Title: Mechanical Engineer I
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Mechanical Engineer I opportunity located in Louisville, CO.
Job Responsibilities:
  • You will assist senior engineers in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components.
  • You will collect and analyze data related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, structural analysis, or environmental systems to support engineering objectives.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Preparing technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support project objectives will be a key part of your responsibilities.
  • You will work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines, while clearly communicating technical concepts and information both verbally and in writing to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Job Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
  • Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers.
  • Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering or related environment.
  • Familiarity with design, analysis, and test methods related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, and/or environmental systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar including a familiarity with detail drawing standards and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material sciences, and their impact on mechanical systems.
