Job description

Summary:
We are looking for a Concrete Cutting Operator Assistant to join our team. This role supports concrete cutting and drilling projects by assisting the main operator with job site tasks, equipment preparation, and site cleanup. The Operator Assistant helps ensure projects run smoothly while following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality service standards. This is an entry-level position (no experience using slab saws, core drills, and wall saws) with an opportunity to learn a valuable trade and advance in the company. Experience in construction preferred.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the operator with concrete cutting and drilling equipment.
  • Vacuum slurry and remove concrete debris.
  • Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transport.
  • Help with routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Pass required pre-employment health screenings, background checks, and safety training modules.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to learn and follow job site safety protocols and properly use PPE.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work varied hours during days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary.
  • Physically able to perform work: carry equipment and tools as required to perform the job.
