Your role on the team: (job description) 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to transportation operations.
  • Configure, test, and implement Transportation Management System (TMS) solutions to support efficient freight management and logistics processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for TMS applications, ensuring seamless integration with other supply chain and enterprise systems.
  • Analyze transportation data and workflows to recommend improvements in routing, load planning, carrier selection, and cost optimization.
  • Participate in project teams to deploy new TMS functionalities or enhancements.
  • Document system configurations, user procedures, integrations, and best practices for TMS processes.
  • SME on TMS features and provide support as needed.

What you need: (requirements) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Transportation Management Systems or in a similar logistics IT support role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bonus if you have: (Preferred requirements) 

  • Experience with TMS platforms such as Infios TMS (aka MercuryGate) ,Oracle Transportation Management, SAP TM, Manhattan, or similar.
  • Knowledge of integration between TMS and other systems such as ERP, WMS, YMS, or carrier portals.
  • Experience with EDI, API, or other data exchange protocols in a transportation context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and document transportation processes, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem management and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications and typing (65 WPM).
