Job description

Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Entry-Level)
Location: Vernal, UT 84078
Duration: 6 months (possible extension/full-time)
Pay rate: $21 - $23/hr on W2
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (40 hours/week)
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
 
Job Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support daily operations within the US Onshore Regional Laboratory. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in an analytical lab environment while contributing to product quality, data integrity, and operational excellence.
Working under direct supervision, the technician will assist with routine lab activities including sample preparation, data entry, inventory support, and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support routine laboratory testing and sample preparation per established procedures
  • Accurately document sample data, test results, and lab activities in logs and systems
  • Assist with sample handling, storage, and disposal following safety guidelines
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, cleanliness, and inventory levels
  • Support QA/QC activities and audits as needed
  • Conduct basic risk assessments before tasks to ensure safety and quality
  • Participate in HSE and quality initiatives; complete required safety training
  • Follow all PPE and safety compliance standards
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Less than 2 years of laboratory or technical experience
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in a scientific setting (chemistry, lab classes, etc.)
