Position Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Data Analyst Technician with a strong computer science and data analytics background. This role will focus on transforming manufacturing and operational data into actionable insights through Power BI dashboards, Python automation, SQL data management, and DAX-based analytics.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with manufacturing data, and capable of building automated data pipelines and visualizations that support real-time operational decision-making, productivity tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities -
Data Analytics & Visualization:
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor manufacturing performance, productivity, downtime, and quality metrics.
Write and optimize DAX measures and calculated columns to support advanced operational analytics.
Transform raw manufacturing data into meaningful visualizations for leadership and production teams.
Build automated reporting solutions to support daily production reviews and Redzone performance tracking.

Data Engineering & Programming:
Write Python scripts to automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes.
Design and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures for operational data.
Integrate data from Redzone MES, ERP systems, spreadsheets, and other manufacturing data sources.

Manufacturing Systems Implementation :
Support implementation and rollout of the Redzone Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Assist with data integration, data validation, and dashboard creation tied to Redzone data streams.
Help design KPI structures aligned with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
Support real-time data visibility initiatives on the production floor.

Data Quality & Optimization:
Ensure accuracy and consistency of manufacturing data used for reporting.
Develop tools to validate, clean, and standardize data sources.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through data analytics.

Required Qualifications:
Current coursework in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong experience with Power BI including:
Data modeling
Dashboard creation
Power Query

Strong DAX coding skills.
Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and automation.
Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate data into clear operational insights.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or production data.
Familiarity with Redzone productivity systems.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement programs.
Experience integrating ERP or operational databases with reporting tools.
Knowledge of data pipeline design and automation workflows.

Pay:
$18.95/hour

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
