Description:

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Quoting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will import customer-supplied CAD data into our CAM software, analyze PCB fabrication drawings and notes, and extract essential specifications for manual entry into our quoting system. Your expertise will ensure manufacturability and address potential discrepancies, contributing to accurate and timely quoting for our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Import and process customer-supplied CAD data into CAM software for analysis.
  • Review PCB fabrication drawings, notes, and other technical documents to extract key specifications and design details.
  • Manually enter extracted data into the company’s quoting system with precision and accuracy.
  • Confirm manufacturability by evaluating PCB designs against established fabrication standards and capabilities.
  • Identify and communicate areas of concern, discrepancies, or missing information to the relevant departments or customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely quote generation.
  • Maintain and update quoting documentation and records for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: PCB manufacturing, or a related field would be helpful.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CAD tools and PCB design file formats (Gerber, ODB++, etc.).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to review and interpret technical drawings and notes accurately.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify manufacturability concerns and propose viable solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Essential Qualifications:

  • CAM Operator I
  • Entry level – PCB Manufacturing experience.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, and reach with both hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and to perform repetitive motions. The employee is frequently required to sit.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements are necessary to complete the keyboarding, mousing, filing, and copying functions of the job.
