Job description

IT Help Desk Support (Entry-Level)
About the Role & Our Team
We are a tight-knit IT department supporting 20+ remote sites and a highly distributed retail environment across the Fusz Automotive Network. We are looking for an enthusiastic, entry-level IT professional to join our team. We do not require a college degree for this position; what we care about is your genuine interest in technology, your foundational understanding of how computers and networks operate, and your drive to figure things out.
If you are a tinkerer who understands the basics but wants hands-on experience in a real enterprise environment, we are willing to teach and mentor you. You will start as a generalist handling frontline support, but as you grow, you will have the room to semi-specialize in the areas of IT where you excel.
Applicant Requirements & Mindset
  • Motivated to Learn: Self-managed, adaptable, and possess a strong desire and ability to learn.

  • Independent but Collaborative: Able to self-direct and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner without needing your hand held but knowing when to ask for help.

  • Flexible Generalist: This is a generalist help desk position. We value and encourage specializing as you grow, but team members will always need to jump in and help with anything.

  • Productive in Downtime: Proactive in seeking out additional tasks and skill-building activities when the ticket queue is clear. We encourage you to use educational materials, mirror other IT staff, or set up test environments (like VMs or network benches) to upskill.

  • Customer-Focused: Able to communicate and interact with all employees in a personable and respectful manner.

  • Physical Capability: Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs for hardware deployments.

  • Travel Readiness: Able to commute between locations. Reliable transportation is necessary as we have several locations across the STL Metro area (mileage is reimbursed monthly; the current IRS rate is $0.725 per mile). You must also possess a Real ID (or sufficient documentation) for commercial flights to our out-of-state locations and be flexible for occasional out-of-state overnight stays.

Technical Foundation & Problem-Solving
  • Core Understanding: Possess a strong foundational understanding of computer hardware, software applications, and Windows operating systems.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to handle support tickets and unplanned issues efficiently and in order of importance.

  • Eagerness to Expand: A baseline understanding of IP networking and wireless infrastructure, with a readiness to learn identity management (like Active Directory/Entra ID) and support enterprise-grade network ecosystems.

Schedule & Availability
  • Current Hours: Tuesday and Thursday (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM), Wednesday and Friday (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM).

  • Mandatory Weekends: Consistent Saturday coverage (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) is a critical requirement for this role.

What We Offer
  • Health & Wellness: Extremely competitive Medical, RX, Dental, and Vision Reimbursement Plans. Additional voluntary benefits include vision, cancer, critical illness, and accident coverage.

  • Financial & Future Security: 401(k) Plan with Company Match, alongside Company-paid Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability (with voluntary Universal Life and Short-Term Disability options).

  • Paid Time Off: Comprehensive time-off package including Vacation, Holidays, Personal Time Off (PTO), and Bereavement Leave.

  • Perks & Development: Employee Discounts, Referral Bonuses, Academy Training, and Athletic Scholarships.

Lou Fusz Automotive Network, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
