Job description

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an IT AI Intern to join our expanding and fast-paced St. Louis office. Candidates must be responsible, have the ability to multi-task, possess the ability to continuously build and grow your knowledge in IT; have excellent technical, and interpersonal skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization. The AI & Automation IT Intern will assist the Information Technology team with technical support, device deployment, documentation, and emerging AI driven automation projects. This role offers real hands on experience with modern IT systems, Microsoft 365 tools, and practical AI applications that improve internal workflows. We are looking for self- disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

AI & Automation Initiatives

  • Serve as an internal resource to help staff understand core AI concepts, terminology, and practical applications relevant to the firm's operations.
  • Help identify processes suitable for AI or workflow automation.
  • Support development and testing of tools using Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Automate, and similar platforms.
  • Document AI use cases, data requirements, and workflow steps.
  • Shadow team members to understand business and legal support processes.
  • Assist with evaluating AI output accuracy and usability.
  • Contribute ideas to automation planning sessions.

IT Support & Operations

  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printer, and network issues.
  • Assist with imaging, configuring, and deploying laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding tasks, including workstation setup and account configuration.
  • Maintain documentation, how to guides, and knowledge base materials.
  • Use the IT ticketing system to log, track, and resolve support requests.
  • Participate in department meetings and assist with ongoing IT projects.

Skills and Specifications:

Education and Qualifications:

  • Current student pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 required.
  • Interest in AI concepts, automation, scripting, or process improvement.
  • Preferred:
    • Basic experience with PowerShell or Python
    • Exposure to workflow tools (Power Automate, M365 automation)
    • Any prior help desk or technical support experience

Compensation & Work Schedule

  • This is a part-time position with flexible hours
  • Ability to work around 20 hours a week
  • This position will require you to work onsite at our downtown St. Louis office
