Primary Responsibilities

  • Install fire and security alarm systems, access control systems, video surveillance, network switches, telephony devices, closed caption TV, structured low voltage cable, and other telecommunication equipment throughout Company facilities.
  • Test and validate to ensure installation meets industry standards.
  • Clean, test and proactive servicing of alarm systems and network infrastructure to ensure proper operation.
  • Analyze and use test equipment and tools to aid in troubleshooting alarm systems to identify and isolate malfunctions.
  • Assist with project installation planning, preparation, and ordering materials.
  • Ensure projects are completed as designed and within Company standards.
  • During installations, serve as an onsite point of contact (POC) and assist with mentoring entry level employees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive travel, including overnight stays (over 20%). Must be able, willing, and available, occasionally with short notice, to travel by commercial aircraft or driving personal vehicle to perform work throughout the Continental US.
  • Job requires employee to drive a lift truck
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Comfortable with heights using both ladders and lifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronic, telephone and RF principles.
  • Certified and licensed by the State of Ohio to install fire alarm and detection equipment. BICSI certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD.
