Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a CAD Technician to support digital manufacturing initiatives within the Assembly Production Engineering team. This role focuses on 3D modeling, simulations, CAD design, and digital tools to improve manufacturing processes for new model launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update 2D/3D CAD models and layouts.
  • Perform 3D simulations, FEA studies, and digital manufacturing analysis.
  • Support project planning for new model introductions.
  • Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA/SolidWorks/Inventor, Navisworks, 3D printing, and 3D scanning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support assembly process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Integrated Technology, CAD, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and CATIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, simulations, and GD&T.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and 3D scanning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FEA, CAD, or 3D Modeling/Simulation certifications.

Additional Information

  • Travel: Up to 20% (domestic and occasional international).
  • Overtime: Up to 12% annually.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
