Job description

Job Summary:
Computer Futures is a leading IT recruitment consultancy, specialising in placing IT experts in permanent and contract roles. They are seeking a Systems Admin to provide technical support, assist with software upgrades, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in customer training.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide technical support to internal and external customers via telephone, email, or via remote assistance tool(s). Ensure support needs are met.
โ€ข Assist internal and external customers to upgrade and configure the software.
โ€ข Participate in software testing as needed during the release cycle.
โ€ข Troubleshoot complex issues, with simulation/reproduction of issues in order to find resolutions.
โ€ข Escalate issues to developers as appropriate. Continue to work the issues with the developers should they need your assistance.
โ€ข As appropriate, provide custom solutions through Scripts.
โ€ข Participation in customer training.
โ€ข Use ticketing system(s) and time reporting systems to accurately report issues, document activities, and report time.
โ€ข Identify cause of problem reported by debugging C#, SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, PowerShell and other code and if necessary correct them or report them to the developers.
โ€ข May require occasional travel to remote company or customer field sites for meetings, implementation of systems, support of systems, or for training.
โ€ข Requires participating in 24x7 rotation with other team members to respond to critical system support requests.
โ€ข Participate in projects or other activities as assigned.
โ€ข Must be willing to work in a team environment and with other team members.
โ€ข Required to perform duties outside of normal responsibilities, as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BA/BS Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and IT software support.
โ€ข Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with hardware and software.

โ€ข Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering)

โ€ข SQL Server Management Studio 2008/2012 (Querying, Writing Stored Procedures in T-SQL)
โ€ข SaaS industry or related experience.
โ€ข SDLC automation including integration and deployment
โ€ข Amazon Web Services (SNS & SQS Messaging, Troubleshooting)
โ€ข Web Service Experience - SOAP messaging, XML syntax & structure, JSON formatting, serializing/deserializing
โ€ข Experience with Data Encryption
โ€ข C#, .Net, Object-Oriented Programming and debugging skills
โ€ข Automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, etc.
โ€ข Knowledge of web-to-print, email coding, web based best practices and troubleshooting.
