Job Description:

Location: Houston, TX (20% remote work permitted). 10% domestic business travel to California and other domestic worksites.
Role Overview

Fluence is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Financial Planning & Platforms to support and enhance our enterprise planning ecosystem. In this role, you will partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize planning solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

You will serve as a key functional expert for financial and operational planning platforms, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions while ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and user adoption. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with technical expertise in enterprise planning systems and financial modeling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, strategic planning, scenario planning, and performance reporting processes.

  • Configure, integrate, and support enterprise planning platforms such as Anaplan, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Planful, SAP IBP, Oracle EPM, and similar solutions.

  • Maintain solution architecture, system integrations, and data integrity across planning platforms.

  • Analyze business processes and facilitate workshops to gather and document business requirements.

  • Design and implement system solutions, business rules, process flows, and functional specifications.

  • Develop and execute test cases, training materials, and user documentation to support solution delivery and adoption.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous process and system improvements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field.

  • Anaplan Data Hub integrations.

  • Multi-dimensional data analysis.

  • Scenario planning analysis.

  • Workforce planning model development in Anaplan.

  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including modeling revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.

  • UX design for Connected Planning platforms.

  • Translating business requirements into scalable system solutions and planning processes.
