Job description

Position Details:

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Computer Information Technology instructors that can teach hyflex courses (meaning face-to-face instruction supplemented with online instruction) are needed.

Responsibilities:

This is a part-time faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Computer Information Technology courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. Courses will be hyflex, meeting on the Kilgore campus typically two days a week and communicating via online technologies the remainder of the time. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.  Current course needs are Integrated Software Applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL.

Minimum Qualifications:

An associate’s degree or higher is required in information technology, computer science, or computer information systems. Candidates must also have at least 3 years of fulltime experience working as an IT professional.  Industry certifications are highly desirable. Previous teaching experience is a plus.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for up to a bachelor's degree to $2,100 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.
