Duration: 3 months Contract-to-hire

HW repair and break fix {Laser, plotter, and large format printers} and PC/POS • What will the work schedule be for this position? Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. However, work may occasionally follow the project schedule, which could include overtime or after-hours as needed • Will there be OC (on call)? Yes • Will there be shift differentials? No, but if you work late, you may adjust your start time the following day. • How many overall years of experience should this person have? 2-5 preferred but we will train • Do they need any specific certifications or education? Description:

 

Primarily field technician work being dispatched to customer sites. IT Field Technician I tasks include driving to client sites and providing general IT support to multiple customers (retailers, banks, etc.), running break-fix and IMAC calls, and supporting clients. The level of support will vary depending on the customer but will include printer, laptop, server, network, and other technology devices. We are looking for an experienced Laser Printer Technician with hands-on experience working with Lexmark, HP, Plotter, and large format printers and with strong break-fix, hardware repair, and OEM service experience.
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and entry level - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and resolve issues with large format printers, kiosks, and POS systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance.
• Deliver clear technical assistance to customers onsite and over the phone.
• Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of printers, computer hardware, and software.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.
• Physical capability to lift to 50 lbs.
