What you'll do
We are seeking ambitious and proactive Business Development Representatives to join our thriving language services company. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in expanding our client base, generating leads, and driving revenue growth. Your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging with potential clients, building relationships, and nurturing them through the sales funnel.
Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation: Conduct market research and identify potential clients within the language services industry. Utilize various channels, including online research, networking events, trade shows, and social media platforms, to generate high-quality leads and populate the sales pipeline.
  2. Prospecting and Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients via cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods. Effectively communicate our value proposition and services, create interest, and schedule appointments or demonstrations for the sales team.
  3. Qualification and Needs Assessment: Engage with leads to understand their language service needs, pain points, and business objectives. Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine their suitability as potential clients and identify opportunities for customized solutions.
  4. Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with leads and potential clients. Maintain regular communication to stay top-of-mind, provide relevant information, and address their inquiries or concerns promptly. Leverage a consultative approach to position our services as a valuable solution.
  5. Collaboration with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads, provide comprehensive lead handover documentation, and ensure a smooth transition of prospects into the sales pipeline. Maintain open and clear communication to maximize conversion rates and deal success.
  6. Sales Pipeline Management: Update and maintain accurate records of lead interactions, activities, and progress in our CRM system. Track and report on key metrics, such as lead conversion rates, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts. Provide regular updates to management and contribute to sales forecasting exercises.
  7. Industry Knowledge and Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the language services industry. Conduct market research to identify target segments and develop strategies to penetrate new markets or verticals.
  8. Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments in the language services industry, sales techniques, and best practices. Actively participate in training programs, webinars, and industry conferences to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Experience in business development, lead generation, or sales, preferably in the language services industry or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential clients. Active listening skills and the ability to understand client needs and pain points.
Sales Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, and qualification. Strong negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills. Ability to identify opportunities, think strategically, and present solutions effectively.
Proactivity and Self-Motivation: Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to lead generation and pipeline development. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Adaptability to learn and utilize new technologies and sales platforms.
Persistence and Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated to achieve targets. Resilience in overcoming obstacles and maintaining a positive attitude.
Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
