Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Engineer with Nokia 1830 Optical experience to perform Network Analysis & Support for Comcast Software Upgrades. The following responsibilities, duties and skill requirements are as follows:
1830 PSS Network Analysis & Support,
Services include Network Analysis and support of NE Software Upgrade activities.
This will include monitoring network alarms, faults and event detection related to the software upgrade activities, creating and tracking RMA's tickets, scheduling issue remediation, and secondarily identifying plans in support of SERVICE PROVIDER's 2025 Initiatives.
SERVICE DELIVERABLES
The following list represents expected tasks and activities that will be supported during Network Analysis Support:
Issue Remediation for Software Upgrade Activities:
    • Attend planning conference calls
    • Event detection and isolation impacting
    • Open RMA's for issues detected
    • Track RMA's and Maintain accurate status reports
      • Track RMA Returns
    • Fault reporting and escalation with TAC
    • Work with Comcast Market Engineers to Clear issues, schedule Maintenance Windows ("MW") and RMA logistics
    • Maintenance Window Coverage
      • Collaborate with Local Markets to coordinate with regional teams for planning and scheduling MWs effectively

NFM-T Network Operations Support including:
    • Monitoring and surveillance activities during S/W upgrades
    • Routine diagnostics and event reporting as a result of the Health Check reporting.
    • Engage Nokia Technical Support for resolution as required.

Tasks that can be secondarily supported:
    • Firmware review, data collection and Action Plan(s).
    • Investigate span loss discrepancies to design.
      • Focusing on spans in alarm.
    • Alarm Analysis from Health Checks not impacting Software Upgrades.
    • Ad hoc Support of Market Engineers.
      • New Feature familiarization.
