Job description

Associate Metallurgist Technology

Primary Responsibilities for the Associate Metallurgist Technology:

  • Entry level position to learn basic company processes, alloys, and customers.

  • Develops skills which will enable provision of a range of technical services to our internal and external customers supporting the attainment of Company and division goals.

  • Demonstrates the understanding of how to properly make disposition of non-conforming and off-standard material.

  • Supports team efforts with supervision.

  • Perform all other duties and specialprojects asassigned.

Required for the Associate Metallurgist Technology:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineer or related field required.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred for the Associate Metallurgist Technology:

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and makeappropriate decisions.

  • Ability to access mill and manufacturing areas.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Ability to learn statistical methods and tools..

  • Ability to function as an individual contributor with direct supervision.

  • Ability to provide guidance to peers andmanagerinownprojects and opportunities with moderateassistance.

  • Ability toassistothers in providing guidance and support to external customers in key projects and opportunities.

  • Demonstrates functional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to support andparticipateinteam efforts.

  • Ability toassistinternal customers.

  • Ability to lead small projects and direct work.
