How to start a career in cloud security?

To start a career in cloud security, gain foundational knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and learn security principles such as encryption, access control, and threat detection. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Entry Level Cloud Security position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Cloud Security professional, you need a foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, and cloud computing platforms, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework. Familiarity with tools such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and basic security certification like CompTIA Security+ or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is valuable. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help you excel in collaborating with teams and explaining security concepts clearly. These skills are crucial for identifying, resolving, and communicating security vulnerabilities in dynamic, evolving cloud environments.
