Shift: PRN/As Needed
  • Scheduled shifts: At least one weekend rotation every other month
  • Call Rotation: Morning call approximately once every two months.
  • Holiday Coverage: Includes a full day of patient care scheduled around a primary holiday

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and treats physical therapy patients under physician orders in the outpatient and acute settings
  • Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
  • Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient's medical record
  • Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the physical therapy department
  • Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
  • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient's healthcare team

Qualifications
Education:
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), a successor organization of CAPTE, or an education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry-level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Passed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the state in which physical therapy services are provided.

Licensure:
  • Physical therapy licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
  • Valid Drivers License

Experience:
  • Entry level/new graduate acceptable
