Entry-Level Data Center Technician

TEKsystems is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals looking to start a career in the telecommunications and data center industry. This is a great opportunity for candidates with construction, cable installation, or hands-on labor experience who are eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull and route copper and fiber optic cable
  • Install cable trays, J-hooks, and support systems
  • Perform cable dressing, labeling, and basic terminations
  • Build and organize telecom closets, racks, and patch panels
  • Follow blueprints and project drawings
  • Use hand tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment

Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction, telecom, or another hands-on trade
  • Familiarity with hand tools
  • Experience pulling cable, installing cable trays, fiber, Cat5, or Cat6 preferred
  • Reliable, coachable, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
