Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Cable Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with some experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, or low voltage installations who are looking to build their skills in the telecommunications industry. The Cable Installer will assist with installing, routing, and securing cables in a Data Center environment. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pulling, routing, and organizing low voltage cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial).

  • Follow instructions from lead technicians and project managers to ensure proper cable installation.

  • Label and terminate cables under supervision.

  • Use basic hand tools, such as cable cutters, crimpers, and punch-down tools.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring cables are neatly dressed and secured.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies on job sites.

  • Work in various environments, including ceilings, crawl spaces, and outdoor areas.

  • Assist with material handling, equipment setup, and job site cleanup.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in low voltage cabling, construction, or electrical work.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring tape.

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with network cabling or electrical work.

  • Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines.

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, or NEC.
