Job description

Client Service Analyst – Alternative Investments (Entry-Level)

Chicago, IL (In-Office | Must be local)

Comp: $68-75K/year

We're partnering with a premier global asset management firm to hire a detail-oriented Analyst for their Alternative Investment Client Services team. This role sits within a broader Shareholder Services organization and focuses on administrator oversight, managing relationships with fund administrators, monitoring trade flows, and supporting portfolio managers across private equity and hedge fund vehicles.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their financial services career who wants exposure to alternative investments, fund operations, and vendor management within a large, global platform.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support investor activity within private equity and hedge fund vehicles, making sure transaction data flows accurately to internal teams.

  • Assess and respond to requests from sales related to trade corrections or exceptions.

  • Help coordinate the settlement process for investor trades.

  • Support day-to-day oversight of third-party partners, such as fund administrators and transfer agents.

  • Track down and help resolve service-related issues or discrepancies as they come up.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and tighten operational and accounting controls.

  • Help maintain clean, well-organized data across various product lines.

  • Jump into cross-functional projects as needed to support the wider team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial services preferred; exposure to alternative investments a plus.

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy, deadline-driven setting.

  • A natural problem-solver who digs deeper rather than settling for the first answer.

  • Clear communicator who works well with others and contributes positively to team culture.

  • Able to stay composed and think on your feet when things move quickly.

  • Self-aware, with a good read on your own strengths and areas to grow .

If you're an ambitious, detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in alternative investment operations at a top global firm, we'd love to hear from you!
