Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva's Scottsdale headquarters (9451 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale, AZ 85256). Working together onsite strengthens how we operate, enabling faster decisions, clearer communication, and stronger execution, so you can make a greater impact and move work forward with speed and clarity.
In-Office Expectation: This role is expected to work onsite five days per week, supporting a highly collaborative, in-person team environment.
The Business Development Representative role is the launchpad for a successful career in high-tech sales. This is an entry-level, high-impact position designed to provide hands-on experience in modern outbound prospecting, sales technology, and AI-assisted selling.
As a BDR, you will master the fundamentals of outbound prospecting, qualification, and consultative selling while leveraging cutting-edge tools to work smarter and move faster. Through our comprehensive training program and ongoing coaching, you will develop elite sales skills, gain expertise in Salesforce and modern sales technologies, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in technology sales.

About the Role
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities through a 100% outbound motion
  • Engage prospects through cold calling, email outreach, and social selling
  • Qualify leads using the SPICED methodology
  • Consistently manage daily activities to meet lead volume and pipeline generation targets
  • Proactively learn and articulate the value of Nextiva's products and services
  • Partner with Account Executives to drive top-of-funnel activity and support revenue growth
  • Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, internal AI platforms, and sales intelligence tools) to enhance prospect research, personalize outreach, and improve outbound efficiency

About You
  • 1+ years of sales, customer-facing, or competitive experience preferred (internships, athletics, leadership roles, or other performance-driven environment are also valued)
  • Experience in SaaS, CRM, Platform Sales, Technology, or related industries preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred
  • Tech savvy and energized by learning new tools and solutions
  • Comfortable using AI tools professionally (ex. generating messaging, building outreach sequences, and streamlining prospecting workflows).
  • Curious about emerging AI technologies and motivated to experiment with new tools to improve productivity and prospect engagement
