What Does an Entry-Level Business Analyst Do?

Entry-level business analysts, or junior business analysts, support the collection and analysis of data for a business or organization, providing better solutions, technology integration, or systems improvements. As an entry-level business analyst, you most likely work as part of a business solutions team under more senior analysts as you receive on-the-job training and become more familiar with your responsibilities and duties. Your particular tasks may include generating reports, performing detailed research and analysis, and assisting with solution development. With experience you may progress to more senior analyst positions with greater responsibilities.

Can I work as a business analyst with no experience?

Entry level business analyst roles often accept candidates with little to no professional experience if they demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency with tools like Excel or SQL, and relevant coursework or certifications.
