Entry-Level Accounting Clerk - Trust Accounting
Location: Century City, CA (Onsite 3 Days/Week) Job Type: Contract to Hire Pay Range: $24-$27/hour (based on experience) Experience: 0-3 years of accounting experience preferred
A professional services firm in Century City is seeking an entry-level Accounting position to support its Trust Accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to build a foundation in accounting within a stable, growth-focused environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with sensitive financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming payments and apply them accurately to client trust accounts
  • Monitor account balances, reconcile discrepancies, and update ledgers accordingly
  • Assist with daily bank deposits and tracking of client funds
  • Maintain accurate and organized trust records in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to trust transactions
  • Support month-end close processes and assist with audit preparation as needed
  • Help with general accounting tasks and special projects as assigned by the department
Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of accounting, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience (internships or coursework accepted)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow trust accounting protocols
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
