Bank Five Nine is seeking a full-time Commercial Banking Associate to join our Commercial Lending team at our corporate office in Oconomowoc, WI. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in commercial banking and gain meaningful hands-on experience.

You'll work closely with experienced lending professionals, support projects directly for our Chief Lending Officer, and gain exposure to a wide range of commercial lending activities. With a national commercial lending presence and recognition as a Preferred SBA Lender, Bank Five Nine offers valuable experience in commercial, construction, and SBA lending that is difficult to find in many entry-level banking roles.

What You'll Do

  • Support construction lending workflows, including contract review, contractor information, draw documentation, and project completion follow-up.
  • Assist with commercial portfolio administration and borrower documentation tracking.
  • Make phone calls on a regular basis to existing customers requesting that they provide us with updated financial statements, tax returns, and other required documents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including Servicing, Collections, Credit, and SBA.
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis, and department projects.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Commercial Lending team and Chief Lending Officer.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts.

Helpful Experience, But Not Required (Training Will Be Provided)

  • General familiarity with construction lending or construction project processes.
  • Exposure to or general understanding of title work, including title commitments, lien positions, and closing documentation.
