POSITION SUMMARY: The Universal Banker conducts personal and non-personal transactional activity, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and facilitates customer requests. Willingly travels between locations as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Transactions and Customer Assistance
  • Accurately process customers' deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, loan advances, cashier's checks, money orders and other routine requests.
  • Recognize any suspicious behavior and have the ability to make decisions on when to consult higher management on any transactions.
  • Routinely provide customers with necessary information and troubleshoot customer issues
  • Familiar with customers' resources to be able to assist customers.
  • Daily branch balancing functions (cash drawer, TCR, vault, coin machine).
  • Assist in the opening and closing duties and operations of a branch.

  1. Cross Selling
  • Uncover customer needs and recognize customer cues for appropriate products and services.
  • Provide an introduction to a Personal Banker for product enrollment/assistance.
  • Comply and contribute to branch goals for company growth.
  • Supports the sales culture of the Bank by seeking opportunities to promote Bank products and services.

  1. Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with all bank regulations applicable to job duties.
  • Follow all bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  • Complete all annual and required job-specific training prior to assigned deadline.
  • Put customers' needs first through consciously taking ownership through your choices, actions, and building relationships based on mutual success.
  • Provide support to co-workers with positivity and teamwork.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Cross trains other team members for back-up support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience
  • No minimum experience required.
  • Banking, sales, and/or customer service experience preferred.

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
