Job Summary
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Senior Accountant to join our team! As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.  You will also review and report daily banking activity, process monthly bank reconciliations, record journal entries related to property debt payments, and debt reconciliations. The ideal candidate has general ledger and reconciliation experience, a thorough understanding of financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements, with exceptional time management skills, and strong attention to detail. Experience in Real Estate, Construction, and/or Property Accounting is preferred
Responsibilities 
  • Heavy experience working in the general ledger - recording journal entries, general ledger maintenance, including ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation for multiple properties
  • Report daily cash for over 50 bank accounts
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities
  • Record and monitor monthly fluctuations for multiple investment and wealth accounts
  • Record property debt payments for multiple properties, each with different loan types and due dates
  • File monthly Sales & Use tax reporting with the state, paying/recording applicable tax payments
  • Assist with year-end closeout

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field desired
  • Previous experience handling accounting in a real estate environment desired
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Persistent (good follow through) and a positive "Can do" attitude with dedication to the company’s goals and growth
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, problem solving
  • Construction Accounting experience is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, basic formulas, PIVOT tables)
  • Yardi experience preferred, not required
