Familiarity with server frameworks, version control systems (such as Git), and cloud platforms is typically required. Our investments include Medium, Patreon, Shyp, Science Exchange, and SoFi.

About the role We're looking for an entry-level back-end engineer to join our engineering team. He/she would work closely with our existing team to help build our various projects as well as our internal tools. What skills do you need.

We use Python/Django for our back-end development, and collaborate via git using feature branches in a continuous deployment environment. Strong candidates would also have experience with RESTful APIs, demonstrable verbal and written communication skills, and have a penchant for UI/UX design. What kind of people would be ideal for this role.

We're looking for self-motivated people who love building things, who demonstrate an innate curiosity and desire to learn, as well as a high level of thoughtfulness, empathy, and awareness about their work, and the people they work with. A core part of our culture is inclusiveness. We're a friendly, supportive, open-minded group, and would expect that you share those values with us.

What do we offer. We offer competitive salaries for entry-level programmers in the range of $90,000 to $110,000, depending on past experience and future potential. Our office is on South Park, in the heart of SOMA, and we offer flexible hours and leave.

How to Apply Please submit a resume along with a cover letter. To really stand out, send us an example of a piece of code that you find interesting (it doesn't necessarily have to be your own code), and describe why you find it interesting. We look forward to hearing from you!.
