Job description

McCorvey Companies is looking for a Payroll Support Specialist (Entry Level) to join our team. This position will support payroll operations by ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Process payroll transactions accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee payroll data.
  • Review payroll reports for accuracy prior to processing.
  • Process new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions professionally and timely.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
  • Assist with payroll audits and reporting.
  • Support HR and Accounting with payroll-related tasks.
  • Learn payroll processes and company procedures under the guidance of senior payroll staff.
  • Verify timesheets and assist with routine payroll reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain all weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reporting requirements on all jobs across one or more payrolls.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
