Role Description The Litigation Attorney (Mass Torts) will handle all phases of mass tort and personal injury litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court for hearings and trials. The attorney will interact regularly with clients, experts, and co-counsel, develop case strategies, and help manage a docket of mass tort matters. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Farmington Hills, MI, requiring consistent presence in the office and local courts.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law, including civil litigation and personal injury or mass torts.
  • Hands-on experience drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions.
  • Comfortable practicing in various Courts, with experience handling hearings and case management conferences.
  • Trial-ready skills, including preparation for Trials, examination of witnesses, and presentation of evidence.
  • Experience with Depositions, including taking, defending, and using deposition testimony strategically.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Michigan (or eligibility for admission).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with colleagues and staff.
  • Demonstrated client communication skills and a professional, ethical approach to advocacy.
  • Prior experience in mass torts, personal injury, or complex litigation is preferred but not required.
