Job description

Work for a company where you are known by your name and not by your number. Garco Construction Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Administrator to support our growing portfolio of commercial, institutional, and large-scale construction projects. As a key member of the project team, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the office team to ensure projects run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Exercise independent judgment related to day-to-day administration of projects and efficiently and effectively manage multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals and groups, clients, subcontractors, individual employees, jobsite teams, and company executives
  • Prepare, finalize, and maintain project related documents to include but not to be limited to: Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Submittals, Request for Information, Pay Applications, Meeting Minutes.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier documentation including insurance certificates, payroll records, and other project compliance records.
  • Understand project schedule and impact on various trades.
  • Upload and manage project information within company systems.
  • Assist with assigned elements of project closeout.
  • Assist in other areas where needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' related experience in commercial construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, terminology, and processes.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
  • Experience with Spectrum® and Procore® Construction Software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test

The salary range for this position is between $58,000 and $75,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals and groups, clients, subcontractors, individual employees, jobsite teams, and company executives. The qualified candidate will also have strong relationship building skills, effective communication, and the ability to organize and evaluate information and proactively find solutions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
