You, as an Assistant Project Manager, will:

  • Assist in planning and specification analysis in order to provide clear, trackable and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with construction teams, end users and all stakeholders.

  • Preparation of project deliverables including tracking and creating of RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, composing agreements and maintaining project expediting list

  • Develop, implement and monitor the construction schedule to deliver the project on time and under budget

  • Administration and management of subcontracts including subcontractor compliance, tracking of changes and deliverable

  • Interact, coordinate the activities of the Consultants and Contractors, and provide direction to consultant team and contractor, on behalf of the Owner.

  • Assist in day to day oversight and management of contractors working on site.

  • Plan and co-ordinate all Health & Safety aspects required for project completion.

  • Develop and implement a communication plan for project, maintain written reports/meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.

  • Assist in preparing detailed scopes of work, requests for proposal documents, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.

  • Prepare regular, timely and accurate billing, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.

  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing development and progression

  • Submit project reports to Senior Project Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a construction related degree/diploma and three+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Management role

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software

  • Ability to support the project team and help overcome problematic situations

  • You have working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
  • You have the ability to read construction specs and drawings You are a self starter and enjoy working independently

  • You enjoy liaising with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to project teams, leadership team, external counsel and consultants

  • You have a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000.
