Mill City is headquartered near Minneapolis and supplies construction services to wireless network operations, including civil, electrical, tower construction, cellular site audits, cellular network maintenance, technical support, and electrical construction, maintenance and design. We are hiring entry level tower techs who want to learn and grow a career in the wireless construction industry. Experience in the wireless industry is not required.

This position does require travel.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, replace, and troubleshoot wireless equipment based on direction from Foreman.

Inventory material, order and restock materials as needed

Site Prep to include Assembly, Painting, Kitting, labeling and Color coding

Knowledge and proper use of various hand tools and power tools.

Understand and comply with DOT regulations.

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Conduct equipment inspections and complete proper documentation.

Identify unserviceable equipment

Rig tower as needed

Perform administrative functions to include Picture review, Red line drawings, Fill out JSA's, Take pictures and Make copies or scan documents.

Inspect equipment and fill out proper documentation.

perform vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance

Conduct BOM, CD and RFDS review.

Preform equipment testing: Sweeps, PIM Testing, fiber Optic and electrical.

Periodically climb tower in order to perform work.

Learn to properly operate equipment: Capstan hoist, Gin Pole and other specialized equipment such as Ariel lifts, skid loaders etc.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Set up and properly secure ladders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Follow directions well and learn tasks quickly.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Ability to travel regularly and work weekends as needed.

Must be in good physical shape.

Must pass drug screening.

  • Employee will be required to climb a vertical structure (15% of the time).
  • Employee will periodically lift and carry 50+ Pounds (5%).
  • Employee will be required to work overhead (10%).
  • Employee will be required to periodically hand dig trenches (5%).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment is primarily outside (75%) with indoor work (25%)
