Job Description
Use AutoCAD or similar CAD software to prepare detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication.
Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
Visit construction jobsites to verify measurements and dimensions as necessary.
Perform material takeoffs and prepare cut lists.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all drawings and related materials.
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the millwork industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with minimum 1-3 years of experience.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong spatial visualization skills and ability to work in both 2D and 3D.
Proficiency in Excel, PDF manipulation, and other relevant software.
Valid Texas Driver License.
Please Note:
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates with 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience and/or 1-3 years of experience as a millwork drafter will be considered. However, a certificate in drafting will be required for entry-level positions.
The schedule for this position is 50+ hours per week, and you must be able to meet tight deadlines.
Only candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
