Job description

Astronics-PECO, located in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications.

The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications. We are looking for Machine Operators to join our production team.

We currently have an entry level position available Swing shift (3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri.) This role will operate plastic injections molding equipment to create integral parts for our production. This position will require that you stand, move, and occasionally sit to operate and unload the machines. Duties & Responsibilities: Read and interpret daily production reports to determine requirements Assist in the set-ups of all of the molding equipment and machinery Bring all quality and process control issues to lead Operate measuring tools such as micrometers, dial and digital calipers, etc

Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and adjust accordingly Accurately complete paperwork and document accurate counts of all part. Operate other equipment such as ultrasonic welder, drill press, trim press, and gate cutters Operate a variety of forklifts and other material moving equipment and tools Keep work area and equipment clean Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply Quality Standards accordingly Observe safety and security procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experiences: High school diploma or equivalent Previous plastic injection molding experience and/or training preferred Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of units of measure Mechanical aptitude and experience working with machines Excellent attention to detail Ability to problem solve Ability to understand and carry out instructions that are provided verbally, written, or diagram form Employment Eligibility Requirements: This position may involve access to items subject to U.S. export-control laws
