Job description

The Inventory Planner position focused on supply chain management, inventory optimization, and production planning across various Amazon business units. This role combines analytical expertise with strategic planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and operational efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
o Strategic Planning & Analysis
• Develop and execute inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize costs
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Create and maintain forecasting models for demand planning and inventory optimization
• Drive process improvements and transformation initiatives within supply chain operations
o Operational Excellence
• Monitor and manage inventory performance metrics and KPIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, and finance
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs
• Support supply chain transformation and process redesign initiatives
o Data-Driven Decision Making
• Use analytical tools and statistical modeling to solve complex business problems
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership teams
• Develop performance metrics to measure progress against key objectives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- o Experience with perishables, fresh food, or time-sensitive inventory management
- o Background in supply chain transformation or process redesign initiatives

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
