Job description

Are you ready to drive financial strategy for technology that's revolutionizing Amazon's inventory management. Do you thrive in environments where you're empowered to challenge the status quo and make high-stakes decisions. At Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team, we're looking for a Finance Manager who can navigate complexity with confidence, influence senior leadership with data-driven insights, and shape the future of our automated inventory systems.

You'll act as a mini-CFO for our Automated Inventory Management portfolio, with significant senior leadership exposure and the autonomy to drive financial decisions that impact Amazon's global supply chain operations.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with Science, and Product teams to develop financial strategies that optimize our Automated Inventory Management systems, directly impacting Amazon's global supply chain efficiency and cost structure
Navigate high degrees of ambiguity to build financial models that evaluate multi-million dollar technology investments and their impact on inventory placement, availability, and cost to serve
Drive financial controllership for inventory optimization algorithms and systems, ensuring our technology investments deliver maximum long-term free cash flow and profitability
Audit model inputs and standardize financial evaluation frameworks across geographies to ensure consistent decision-making worldwide
Develop compelling narratives and financial analyses for executive reviews, with regular exposure to VP and Director-level leadership
Evaluate financial risks and opportunities associated with new inventory management technologies and strategies
Build deep partnerships across business lines to stay current on initiatives, risks, and opportunities that impact inventory management across Amazon's global network
A day in the life
From Day 1, you'll be given controllership of significant inventory management products and the autonomy to think strategically about how financial decisions impact Amazon's fulfillment network. You'll have the power to influence how we invest in technology that determines where millions of products are placed throughout our global network.
You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Supply Chain Optimization Technologies, Operations Finance, Inventory Planning, and country-specific teams to ensure our automated inventory systems are financially optimized. Your financial models and analyses will directly inform how we build and enhance technologies that make split-second inventory decisions at massive scale.
You'll act as the financial controller for state-of-the-art inventory prediction and placement systems, while also engaging with business leaders to shape key investment decisions

You'll support the creation and delivery of executive leadership goals with significant senior management exposure, giving you visibility and influence across the organization.
