Job description

Title: Senior Inventory Analyst


Job Description:

We are seeking an Sr. Inventory Analyst who enjoys working as a member of a cross-functional team to solve problems, improve performance, and drive operational efficiency. This position will partner closely with sourcing, supply chain, finance, and commercial teams to ensure optimal inventory levels that support customer demand and business objectives.

Reporting to the Supply, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) Director, the Sr. Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels across the organization. This role will ensure the right balance between supply and demand, right-size working capital, and improve overall inventory performance using data-driven insights and process improvements.

In this role you will get to:


  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels by analyzing trends, identifying risks, and recommending actions to balance service, cost, and working capital.
  • Manage inventory replenishment and allocation by setting order quantities and positioning stock to meet demand while minimizing excess and stockouts.
  • Leverage data and systems (ERP, Excel, and analytics tools) to evaluate inventory performance, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain inventory reporting and dashboards that provide clear visibility into key performance indicators (e.g., turnover, stockouts, excess/obsolete).
  • Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, demand planning, finance, operations, and commercial teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure data accuracy through cycle counts and audits, investigating discrepancies and driving corrective actions within inventory systems.
  • Lead inventory planning for new product introductions and site expansions, coordinating ramp-up and ramp-down activities to support seamless transitions.
  • Support manufacturing site transitions and engineering change management, ensuring efficient inventory positioning and minimal disruption.
  • Manage slow-moving and excess inventory, partnering across functions to mitigate risk and minimize financial impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to standardize, streamline, and optimize inventory management processes.

Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Supply Chain, Business Management, or other quantitative fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, demand or supply planning, statistical analysis, supply chain management, or other planning roles
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a strong focus on managing, manipulating, and presenting large data sets
  • Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office tools, including advanced proficiency in Excel


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with ERP and other supply chain planning systems, with Epicor being a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools, a plus (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with SIOP process and end-to-end supply planning and optimization knowledge is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to document, streamline, and automate complex processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with a bias towards collaboration and teamwork
  • Positive attitude, adept at problem solving
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities in cross-functional settings to drive differentiated results
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10%
