Known for lasting quality, playful prints, and family-matching collections for life's special moments, RuffleButts has quickly grown to annual revenue exceeding $40M. Our products can be found online at Rufflebutts.com, Ruggedbutts.com, Amazon, select premium retailers, and hundreds of specialty retail locations around the globe. What We Are Looking For
RuffleButts is looking for an entry-level Merchandising Assistant to join our growing Merchandising team! This role is a key individual contributor that works cross-functionally with Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Category leadership to support pricing, inventory management, purchase order execution, and merchandise reporting across all channels.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive-someone who enjoys turning data into insights and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting product performance analysis and operational execution, including Omni-channel and Amazon inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Merchandising team with pricing, inventory management, and merchandise reporting
  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on item and category performance, sharing insights and trends
  • Maintain and update core weekly performance and inventory reports
  • Manage purchase orders across all channels, including writing, amending, and maintaining accuracy
  • Partner closely with the Ecommerce team on product enablement and disablement
  • Support Merchandising with SKU setup and item data management
  • Manage Omni-channel inventory allocation, including Amazon inventory management
  • Assist the Category Director with marketing details, pricing preparation, and analysis

Requirements
  • Experience in assistant buying, merchandise planning, allocation, or a related role within children's apparel and/or eCommerce (preferred)
  • Experience working with Amazon Seller Central (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience with PowerBI, Netsuite, or other BI tools (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of retail financial metrics (sales, margin, inventory turns, sell-through)
  • Ability to analyze data quickly, prioritize multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort owning both analytical and operational responsibilities

Why You'll Love This Role
  • High-visibility role with real ownership and impact
  • Cross-functional exposure across Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Category leadership
  • Opportunity to deepen analytical, planning, and inventory management experience
  • Fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment with room to grow

Top Reasons to Work with Us
  • Competitive base compensation, paid vacation/holidays, health & dental benefits, and 401k + matching.
  • Hybrid work environment, casual dress code.
  • Our company was founded on the Golden Rule, and we have a culture centered around kindness, gratitude, and customer appreciation.
