General Labor - $19.94/hr
Amalgamated Sugar Company- Paul, Idaho
Amalgamated Sugar is seeking to fill multiple General Labor positions. These are year-round, full-time position offering an excellent benefits package** upon completion of a standard probationary period.
This position entails working in a heavy-duty industrial environment that encompasses all aspects of sugar production. Successful candidates will perform a variety of tasks within the sugar factory. No experience necessary - training is provided.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts- 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and/or 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in temperature extremes both hot and cold, indoors, and outdoors.
  • Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards and procedures in English.
  • Be able to use common hand tools.
  • Must be able to perform entry level tasks with basic hand tools.
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation operations.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, and move equipment as needed. Must be comfortable in year-round outdoor temperatures, in loud conditions, and working around moving mechanical equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Experience working in an industrial setting preferred.
