Overview

SYSTEMS/NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (EAISP):

Bowhead is seeking an experienced Systems/Network Administrator for its Gunter Annex Air Force base location in Alabama. The position supports the US Air Force and candidates with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and US Air Force Business Enterprise Systems experience are highly encouraged to apply.ย 

Responsibilities

Managing and coordinating activities of a small staff engaged in computer operations, computer systems, computer programming, and company's network to assure effective computer resources are provided to users.

May present to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software and telecommunication equipment.

Assigns personnel and schedules workflow to facilitate production.

As the experienced Systems / Network Administrator, you may be called upon to provide work leadership for lower level employees.

About this Contract: Bowhead provides Enterprise and System Architecture Support to the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Gunter Annex in Montgomery, Alabama. Possible work sites are Wright-Patterson AFB, Gunter Annex, and Robins AFB. The AFLCMC/GBE Enterprise Architecture Services Group encompass the following disciplines within architecture: application or solution architecture, data architecture, and architecture maintenance.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or any other relevant technical field is required.

Two (2+) years of professional experience related to Systems Administration / Network Administrator / or Computer programming is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.ย
