Marketing Associate
Salary Range: $60 - $65k
Location: Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, 1 day a week in Manhattan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an entry-level marketing position for a social services umbrella organization that offers a large variety of services. We are looking for a motivated individual to support outreach and engagement across numerous platforms. This role will promote services, support multiple departments and ensure messaging that is accessible to diverse populations.
  • Create marketing materials for digital exposure on social media platforms and direct marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with numerous department leads to understand each one's unique needs and how to promote their services or open positions.
  • Cureate social media presence on numerous platforms, creating engaging content and followers.
  • Keep up with social media trends and ensure content is relevant.
  • Partner with graphic design team to create a cohesive branding for all programs and websites.
  • Interact with users on all platforms, directing inquiries to the correct department or explaining our services.
  • Ensure that materials are in compliance with program regulations, are culturally relevant, and accessible to multiple cultures. All content must be ADA accessible.
  • Obtain consent from participants and/or caregivers to have their images used.
  • Coordinate and support community outreach initiatives, events and industry fairs to increase visibility.
  • Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and take a proactive approach to the role.
  • Obtain management approval of all outgoing materials.
  • Track metrics and share with the supervisor on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or other related fields. Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Experience working with a social services agency is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, content creation, branding and campaign management.
  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings in multiple locations throughout New York city.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with staff and participants alike.
  • Bilingual (Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in marketing tools such as bulk email, social media platforms, analytics and design tools, as well as MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to numerous locations to meet with stakeholders, attend meetings and visit healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
