Job description

As a Quality Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting quality assurance activities to ensure that aerospace products and processes meet Honeywell's high standards for safety, reliability, and compliance. You will assist in quality inspections, data analysis, and problem-solving efforts to support continuous improvement initiatives.
You will report directly to our Defense Quality Manager and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of aerospace components and systems, contributing to the overall safety and performance of Honeywell's aerospace products and supporting customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the execution of quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with aerospace standards and internal procedures
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues identified in production or supplier processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and enhance product quality and process efficiency

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Entry-level experience or internships in quality engineering or related roles within aerospace or manufacturing industries preferred
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and APQP, and experience with quality documentation and reporting
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and regulatory requirements is a plus
